Margaret is a member of the Professional Writer’s Association of Canada and a card-carrying member of the Sour Toe Cocktail club.

Margaret uses her 20 years of advertising and marketing experience to strategically focus on her clients' target markets and to simplify every message so it’s clear and relevant to that market. Her motto is that she’s in "the business of being creative."

As a corporate writer, Margaret has written and/or edited annual reports for the Capital Health Nova Scotia as well as major documents for the departments of Education; Tourism, Culture and Heritage; Health, Natural Resources, and others. As an advertising writer she has worked on campaigns for McDonald’s Restaurants, Propeller Brewing, Atlantic Canada Tourism Partnership and more.

Margaret doesn’t chase awards, but sometimes they find her. Her work with Outside the Cube for Canada’s Northern House at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games was short-listed in the top three finalists for marketing campaign of the year by the Tourism Industry of Canada. She also holds a Global from the New York Festivals, a Mobius from the Chicago International Advertising Show, and a Crystal for her radio work.
